Udupi: Devdas Hebbar, Taluk panchayath member alleged in a meeting held at thaluk panhchayath yersterday that, Belle GPC PDO charges heavy tax on public and doing injustice to them. He acts as the supreme power of that panchayath.
Hebbar said that Rs 800 is levied from a person who is supposed to pay Rs. 100, so as Rs 2000 for Rs 500. Hebbar demanded clarification for the above.
Also wrongly mentioned gender in the income and caste certificates distributed to schools created a big fuss in the Taluk panchayat meeting.
Member Umesh nayak said that there are lots of discrepancies in the certificates distributed especially in adhar card and ration card. Vibrant Integration Company was given Rs 3.8 lakh for the Data entry but was not done the responsibility properly.
All members supported him and said that lots of mistakes happened in the entry especially in gender, names and relations are wrongly printed. Theyb opinioned that data entry person should be fined because entries are not cross-verified.
Rajendra Bekal, EO said that a message regarding both the above matters will be given to the Deputy Commissioner.
