Udupi: As many as four individuals are in fray for ticket from the Congress party for the upcoming LS polls from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency, said Dr Jayamala, Minister for Women and Child Welfare.
Speaking to media persons after the tri-monthly KDP meeting at Rajathadri Manipal, here on Wednesday, March 6, Dr Jayamala said the high command will finalise the candidates and an announcement will be made soon.
Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, former minister and former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, Chikkamagaluru DCC President Vijay Kumar and NRI Forum President DR. Arathi Krishna are the four aspirants, she added.
When asked about sitting MP Shobha Karandlaje Go Back campaign, Jayamala said, “I don’t want to comment on it. It would be better to ask the BJP leaders because they can answer it in a better way.”
