Former DySP Anupama Shenoy files nomination from Kaup

Udupi: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy on Saturday, April 22 filed her nomination as Bharathiya Janashakthi Congress candidate from the Kaup constituency.

While filing the nomination Anupama Shenoy’s brother Achuth accompanied her.

The election commission has approved Lady’s fingure or Bhindi as her party symbol.

Speaking to media, Anupama Shenoy said, ” Joining politics is also a new experience to me.Ticket has been given to 15 people to contest elections, already eight candidates have filed their nominations. If the party candidates lose elections, they will work towards strengthening the party for the next elections”.

She also assured that her party will have enough strength in up coming Lokasabha elections.

It may be recalled that Anupama Shenoy, who was the DySP in Kudligi sub-division in Ballari, voluntarily resigned from her position after spat with state cabinent minister in Siddaramaiah’s government and joined politics.

In an affidavit filed to the election commission, Anupama Shenoy stated that she has movable assets worth Rs 12.09 Lakhs and she has no immovable assets.
