Udupi: An autorickshaw ferrying school children from Manipal Shantinagar to Kadiyali, overturned, injuring eight children on Tuesday, September 3.
The children sustained minor injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal, the police said.
It is said that the autorickshaw was trying to avoid a bike that had crashed just ahead of it near Indrali. Seeing this, the rickshaw driver suddenly applied the brakes, causing it to fall.
Police from the Manipal station arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation.
