Her family had lodged a complaint at Mangalore Rural Police Station.  The body was traced  on September 25, Wednesday  and the family members have identified it to be that of Akshatha. The body has been handed over to the family after a post mortem.

Love affair? It is being said that Akshatha, a student of the Government College at Carstreet was in love with Madan, a student of the same college. It is learnt the college management had warned the two on several earlier occasions. The family members however say they are unaware of the affair.

Meanwhile, the  youth named Madan who was in love with Akshatha is also missing and his mobile too is switched off.   It is only after police trace Madan that they may throw light on  some facts pertaining to this case.
