Udupi: As the Lok Sabha election inches closer, the amount of trolls and mockery of political events seem to be increasing. A recent act of Yakshagana which was staged, here on Friday, March 15, mocked at the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy calling out to his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy, “Nikhil Yellidiyappa” (Nikhil where are you?).

A Tulu social-oriented Yakshagana performance which was staged yesterday night at Palli village near Karkala had incorporated the enactment of CM HDK and Nikhil’s conversation. The artistes performed it with a comic sense.

One of the artistes changed Nikhil’s name by calling out, “Vavana Yellidiyappa?” (Vavana, where are you?).

Meanwhile, the video clip has gone viral on all social media platforms.

Earlier, in an open-air programme in Mandya, related to Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s debut film ‘Jaguar’, CM Kumaraswamy had called out his son, “Nikhil Yellidiyappa?” (Nikhil where are you?), to which his son Nikhil had replied from the crowd, “Naanu Illi iddini appa?” (I’m here dad). HDK had responded saying, “So already you are between the people now.” Nikhil had replied, “I’ll always stand with those who stand by Deve Gowda and family.”
