Udupi : The new office of Shobha Karandlaje, Member of Parliament was inaugurated at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Rajathadri here on Monday, June 10.
After the inauguration of the new office, addressing media persons, Shobha Karandlaje alleged that the state government has received commission for selling 3,667 acres of land to JSW steel in Ballari district. There is no hurry to sell the land to Jindal. The Jindal Company violated the agreement. The state BJP will launch protest against the government’s decision to sell the land to Jindal. The government was working in the interest of the company and neglected poor farmers, she said.
She said Udupi city is facing acute water crisis and the state government is not interested to work on the water crisis in Udupi city. The state government as well as deputy commissioner of Udupi district failed to solve the sand crisis in Udupi district. The coalition government has neglected the drought situation in the state and was not releasing funds for any drought relief fund, she alleges.
Shobha Karandlaje said that the state government was doing nothing for the betterment of the people and she expressed doubt that this government was still alive. The BJP will launch state wide agitation against the state government, she said.
Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC and leader of opposition in state legislative council, V. Sunil Kumar Karkala MLA, Mattart Rathnakar Hegde President of district BJP unit, Yashpal Suvarna President of D.K. Fisheries Federation, Dinakar Babu President of ZP and other leaders were present.
