Udupi: The BJP candidates in all of the five legislative assembly seats in the Udupi district have won in the Karnataka State Assembly elections of 2018.
BJP’s candidate for the Udupi Constituency, K Raghupathy Bhat trounced his rival, Congress’ Pramod Madhwaraj by a considerable margin of 12000 votes.
The Karkala Assembly Constituency was won by BJP’s Sunil Kumar who beat Congress’ Gopal Bhandary by a huge margin of 42566 votes and Halady Srinivas Shetty won in Kundapur against Congress’ Rakesh Malli by a massive margin of 56,405 votes.
BJP’s candidate for the Kaup assembly seat, Lalaji Mendon defeated Congress’ Vinay Kumar Sorake by a margin of around 12,000 votes and the Byndoor assembly constituency was won by BJP’s Sukumar Shetty who defeater Congress’ Gopal Poojary by a margin of more than 24,000 votes.
