Udupi: A 40-year-old man was killed in a serial accident involving two cars and a motor bike at Kaup NH 66, near Vidyaniketan School on Friday, April 13.
The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar Poojary, a resident of Muloor near Kaup.
As per reports, Poojary was returning to Muloor from Kaup when a Mahindra vehicle travelling from Mangaluru to Udupi collided into his bike and another Ertiga car on the National Highway. Poojary’s bike was smashed in between the two vehicles thereby injuring him seriously. Though Poojary was rushed to the hospital immediately he succumbed to his injuries there.
Poojary was running a tailor shop at Muloor and is survived by his mother, wife and son. He was earlier working in Dubai, it is gathered.
Kaup Circle Inspector V.S. Halamurthy Rao, Kaup Police Station SI Nithyanand visited the accident spot and registered a case.
