Udupi: Athradi gram panchayat village accountant Vanitha (34) committed suicide by hanging herself at her residential quarters at Parkala Herga Temple road here on Tuesday, July 31 evening.
A mother of two, Vanitha is said to have taken this extreme step when her kids had been to school. The reason for this move is yet to be ascertained. Her husband, Sudheer had gone to Dubai on July 28 on work. Vanitha had been transferred to Athradi about two years ago. Earlier, she was working at Karkala it is gathered.
Manipal police visited the spot and registered a case.
