Udupi: Assistant Sub Inspector Rosario D’Souza has been promoted to the Sub Inspector rank by the Home Ministry, Government of Karnataka with immediate effect. He took over charge as SI of Ajekar Police Station from January 30.
Previously, he had worked as ASI at the District Crime Branch in Udupi. After his promotion as an ASI, he worked in Udupi Town, Byndoor and District Crime Intelligence Branch.
He joined the Police department in 1984 at Mangaluru West Traffic Police Station. He also worked in Udupi district at Kota, Padubidri, Brahmavar, Udupi city police stations as a constable. He was awarded the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for his outstanding service in the department in 2015.
