Udupi: The Kannada Movie “Asathoma Sadgamaya” is a family entertainer with dash of comedy, said Rajesh Venoor, Director of the film.
Speaking to the media representatives at the Udupi Press Club on April 18, Rajesh Venoor said that the plot of Asathoma Sadgamaya focuses on the experiences of Sherlin (Radhika Chetan), a Finnish citizen, who comes to Karnataka in search of a missing person. During her search, she is joined by Raghava (Kiran) and Sandhya (Lasya) who have left their homes. Sherlin faces several hurdles from various corners and also faces challenges from a businessman and a rowdy in her mission. How she manages to reach her goal by overcoming these obstacles is the storyline of this movie “Asathoma Sadgamaya.”
“Asathoma Sadgamaya is based on IQ vs EQ concept. In the past, relationships and emotional quotient were given priority. Today’s generation is smart and the parents too look for intelligence, good marks rather than special bond or valuable relationships. Emotions and attachments have lost their importance in the mechanised life. We have to tried convey this reality in the movie. It is a family entertainer with a dash of comedy and five songs”, he said.
“About 70 percent of the film was shot at Moodbidri and Mangaluru and the remaining at Bangaluru and Mandya. Baby Chitrali along with 50 other children acted in the movie. The trailer was released on March 22 in Dubai, which has been well received by the audience”, he added.
Radhika Chetan, Kiran Raj, Lasya Nagaraj, Baby Chitrali, Raj Deepak Shetty and others have acted in the movie. The film is produced by Ashwin Jossy Pereira under the banner iCARE Movies. The movie has music composed by Wahab Saleem and background music by Manikanth Kadri, cinematography by Kishor Kumar.
