Udupi: If sources are to be believed then Anupama Shenoy, former DySP of Ballari who recently tendered her resignation to the post is likely to meet Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi in Delhi, on Wednesday. It is said that Shenoy would be accompanied by a powerful leader from Andhra Pradesh.
The purpose of the visit would be to appraise Gandhi about how a Minister in the Karnataka State cabinet harassed a woman police officer and posed impediments for her while delivering her duty.
Her resignation issue has got a new twist as it is now claimed that Ballari SP had asked her to re-draft a resignation letter stating that she was tendering resignation due to personal reason. It is said that initially Anupama had tender a resignation bringing to fore all the names, which she felt were the reason behind her move.
She is likely to produce all the documents to Gandhi.
It is said that after the Home Ministry accepted her resignation letter, Shenoy had not returned to her home in Ucchila near Udupi and is now spending some time in solitude.
