Udupi: Additional Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPAT) required for the Udupi-Chickmagaluru Lok Sabha constituency were distributed in the presence of Deputy Commissioner and Chief Electoral Officer for Udupi district, Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, on Tuesday, April 9, ahead of the elections.
Twenty five additional ballot units, eight control units and five VVPATs were handed over to Kundapur legislative constituency. Thirty additional ballot units, twelve control units and twelve VVPATs were handed over to Udupi legislative constituency. Twenty six additional ballot units, nine control units and twelve VVPATs were handed over to Kaup legislative constituency. Twenty six additional ballot units, nine control units and five VVPATs were handed over to Karkala legislative constituency.
DC Hephsiba Rani Korlapati urged the concerned officials to carefully test the EVMs and VVPATs.
Additional deputy Commissioner, Vidya Kumari, was also present.
