Alevoor/Udupi: A leopard isolated its way while hunting its prey yesterday at Marne bogina haadi near Alevoor, here on Saturday, July 5.
It is said that yesterday night leopard came for hunting here and it fell in to the well of Sadhanantha Nayak compound. While in morning at 3 a.m., when a localite Sadhananth’s wife Janaki went near well to take water, she found leopard there sitting at the stone whole in the well.
Nearly at 5 am, forest department reached at the spot. Prakash Poojari, a forest official said that a two-year-old, leopard have come from the forest near by.
Moreover, to take leopard out from the well, a ladder has been dropped inside the well and after an hour the leopard itself came up through the ladder and ran away to the deep forest nearby.
Fire service and police from Manipal and Udupi station were also present.
