Tumkur: Show-cause notices has been issued by the Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer to as many as 250 officials in connection with alleged irregularities in implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Reportedly, the move has been initiated after the Quality and Social Audit team conducted an inspection last month.
The team has detected several irregularities under the scheme and had submitted a report to the State government.
The visiting team had detected forged signatures of workers, use of machines, violations in payment of bills etc.
