Two, including son of Kateel temple priest killed in serial collision

Tumkur: Two persons, including the son of Kateel temple priest, were killed while two others sustained grievous injuries in a road accident at Nelamangala near Tumakuru on Wednesday morning.

Deceased are 21-year-old Srinidhi Asranna, son of Kateel Shri Durgaparameshwari temple priest Sri Hari Narayana Dasa Asranna and Tumkur Prajwal (20). The injured – Sharat Bhandary, a Moodabidri resident and Sharad Ram Das, a Kateel resident have been admitted to a hospital and are said to be in a critical condition. All the four were studying in Bengaluru and were on their way back to the city after visiting Tumkur.

As per reports, the accident took place after a serial collision involving their car, a KSRTC bus and a cantor. The car, that was travelling between the bus and the cantor was sandwiched as a result of the collision that took place after the bus driver applied brakes all of a sudden.

A case has been registered at Nelamangala traffic station.
