Three from Tumakuru, two others test positive for COVID-19; Tally rises to 794

Tumakuru: Three people from Tumakuru and two others tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, May 9 evening. This brings the total number of cases reported today to 41 and the state’s tally to 794.

The three cases from Tumakuru – men aged 40, 27 and 38 – have a history of travel to Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

The other two cases have been reported from Chikkabalapura (71-year-old man) and Bhatkal (32-year-old woman).

Earlier in the day, 36 cases were reported from the state.

Of the 794 cases, 30 are deaths, one is a non-COVID caused death and 386 are discharges.
