Tumakuru: Incumbent MP from Tumakuru, Congress leader S P Muddahanumegowda continues to remain absent from the alliance campaign in the Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency, creating tension in the JDS camp.
It can be recalled that JDS supremo, former prime minister H D Devegowda, is contesting as the alliance candidate from Tumakuru.
According to Congress and JDS sources from the district, Muddahanumegowda is not attending Devegowda’s campaign and is staying away from all poll related activities.
“He is not reachable. He is still nursing a grudge against the Congress and the JDS leaders for not allowing him to contest in the polls this time,” said a Congress leader from Tumakuru.
Meanwhile, DCM Dr G Parameshwara continued his whirlwind tour across the constituency, seeking votes for Devegowda.
