Tumakuru: A group of students protested here at Tumakuru University accusing an assistant professor of sexually harassing a girl student.
The protestors joined by seven to eight girls alleged that Rajashekar, assistant professor in the English department of Tumkuru University Arts College, was sexually harassing a girl student. The girls who joined the protest, alleged the same.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rajasab, said that a group of students have lodged a complaint with him accusing the assistant professor of sexually harassing a few girl students.
Rajasab said that he will convene a meeting with the registrar and other officials on Thursday.
“We will probe the matter and take necessary action if we find any substance in the allegations,” he said.
