Tumakuru: Veteran Congress leader and former MLA K N Rajanna has criticized Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar and Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna and has warned them of revealing all their illegal activities, here on Sunday, July 21.
Speaking to media, he said “When Revanna was the chairperson of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) he was involved in a lot of illegal activities. An investigative report was also revealed on corruption in the appointment process and misuse of monetary funds.”
Revealing the corruption and illegal activities of DyCM Parameshwar, whom he had once called “Zero Traffic Minister”, he said, “A land in Arkavathy layout was procured to construct a hospital, but in the name of the hospital, he has built a commercial complex and a hotel.”
“In the name of Heggere Medical College, he has encroached land at the ring road at Maralooru, Tumakaru. The list goes on”, he added.
Meanwhile, he has warned the duo of legal consequences.
Will no longer contest elections
He also said that he has decided to take political retirement.
“I’ve decided not to contest assembly elections anymore. I do not have the strength to involve myself in solving people’s problems as I’m currently 69-years-old,” he said adding that one should not think that everything can be done only when there is power and a portfolio.
“If we have trustworthy people around us and have the determination to serve the people, we can definitely serve our people”, he said.
It can be recalled that, Rajanna had stood as rebel against the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition right from the time when they had decided to give ticket to former prime minister and JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda from Tumakuru Lok Sabha Constituency during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, denying the ticket to the sitting Member of Parliament from the Congress party Muddahanumegowda.
