Tumakuru: A confident Yeddyurappa said on Saturday that the BJP would come out victorious in the next Assembly elections and he would be the next chief minister of Karnataka and also that his party would win 150 seats.
He was at Kyatasandra to seek the blessings of Siddaganga Mutt seer Shivakumara Swami.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National president Amit Shah had appointed him as the party state chief as they consider him as the chief minister candidate.
He also said that he will be assuming the office of BJP state president on Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birthday on April 14.
“My main objective is to help BJP wrest power from the Congress. I will tour the state and create awareness about the misgovernance of the ruling Congress,” he said.
