Tumakuru: In yet another incident, a 28-year-old woman was gang-raped by five men in a moving Tata Sumo on NH 75 on Tuesday in Tumakuru.
The incident took place on Tuesday night, when the woman who is working in a garment factory was at the Town Hall Circle in Tumakuru district at 8 pm. The unidentified men picked her up and sexually assaulted her in the moving vehicle. The gang then abandoned her on the highway near Dobbspet in Bengaluru rural.
Police sources said that the woman is a resident of Koratagere and is separated from her husband.
She is said to be in the ICU at the Tumakuru district hospital and is stable.
Tumakuru Superintendent of Police, Karthik Reddy, has registered a case and the police are on the lookout for the culprits.
