According to the report, users will initially have to provide their personal details to a third party that will confirm their identity and once the account is authenticated, the user can receive bills in Gmail’s Inbox application or the stock Gmail app. The app will segregate the bills in a ‘Pony Express’ folder that will facilitate the online payment.

The user can also send payments from Gmail, via a link to a bank account or a debit card. After the transaction the user can even share their payment details with other Gmail users. The service is also rumoured to release by Q4 of this year. This service can challenge similar services offered by applications like Snapchat and Square cash. Even Facebook’s Messenger app is working on ways for money transaction from within the app.
