Delhi: The silver medal win of 4 x 400 mts mixed relay Indian Team at the 2018 Asiad event held at Jakarta has now turned to Gold with the disqualification of the winning Baharain team since one of its athletes was confirmed to have used banned substances.
Mohammed Anas, M R Poovamma, Hima Das, and Arokiya Rajiv formed the Indian mixed relay team that had won silver in this category, a category that was introduced for the first time in the Asiad.
Anu Raghavan who had come 4th in the 400 mts hurdles at the same Asiad, has now secured Bronze by virtue of the ban on Nigeria’s Kemi Adekoya for doping.
