Shivamogga: With allegations that CM BS Yediyurappa’s sons have been meddling too much in the affairs of the government, CM son and sitting MP BY Raghavendra, on Tuesday said that these allegations are baseless.
Addressing the reporters after taking part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations held in the city, Raghavendra said that such allegations are making rounds, but those are far from the truth.
“My brother Vijayendra is a party worker of the BJP without any special status attached to him and I am an MP. In these capacities, we only keep forth our suggestions. We have never interfered in the government and the administrative matters,” he said.
It was only a couple of days ago that Vijayendra too took to twitter to keep forth his point of view with regard to the same. In his emotional tweet, Vijayendra had attacked former chief minister Kumaraswamy indirectly and said that he is only a party worker who has made his presence felt working at the grassroots. “I am not a product of dynasty politics. I have been working at the ground-level. I am here due to love and affection of the people,” Vijayendra had tweeted adding that many who cannot tolerate his political growth are trying to pull him down with such statements.
It was former CM HD Kumaraswamy, who first said that BSY’s sons are interfering in administrative matters. He had specifically stated that Vijayendra has been running a transfer mafia in the state and has been meeting people in plush hotels in the city in connection to transfers of officials.
