Shivamogga: Sagarpete police have received an order by the state high court to file a charge sheet for the FIR filed against Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

State high court judge Dinesh Kumar has ordered the sagarpete police to explain within 10 days as to why they are delaying the filing of the charge sheet against Congress president and AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

Lawyer KV Praveen Kumar filed a complaint about a Twitter message published under the headline ‘PM Care Fraud’ on the official Twitter account of Congress President and AICC President Sonia Gandhi. Pravinakumar had complained on May 21, 2020.

On Praveen’s complaint, a case was filed under the IPC section 153, 505/1 at the city police station. Even 10 months after filing the complaint, chargesheet was not filed against Sonia Gandhi and against this backdrop, K V Praveenkumar had appealed to the state high court to give proper direction.

Just recently at Shivamogga, D K Shivakumar had expressed anguish over police for not filing a B report against Sonia Gandhi and also took a jibe at Praveen .Now, it is interesting to note that the High Court has ordered the Sagarpete Police to issue a charge sheet within 10 days of DK Shivakumar’s announcement.
