Shivamogga sees good turnout for state Council elections

Shivamogga: The elections for the Karnataka Legislative Council was held on June 8, to which many of the electorates turned out to exercise their franchise. The voting began at 7 am and ended at 5 pm.

In Shivamogga, 20277 out of 27043 of the eligible voters turned out for the elections in the Graduates’ constituency, reflecting a percentage of 74.98.

The Teachers’ constituency reflected an 82.80 percent turnout, where 4107 out of 4960 electorates showed up to cast their vote.
