Shivamogga: The JD(S)-Congress alliance in Shivamogga has planned a systematic campaign for the upcoming Shivamogga Lok Sabha by-election. The alliance candidate Madhu Bangarappa will be fighting against BJP’s BY Raghavendra, son for former CM and BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa in this election.
As per the plan, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will stay back for four days between October 25 and 28. He will visit all the taluk headquarters, besides important hobli centres, where he will campaign for the party’s candidate.
JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda will visit the city on October 23, while former CM Siddaramaiah will visit on October 25. KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao will run a campaign here on October 22.
Meanwhile, the BJP is relying on the popularity of BSY to win the election. He has already had a district level tour to ensure that the district will remain the party’s stronghold.
