Shivamogga: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a stir outside DC’s office, on Thursday, demanding the construction of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya.
This protest marked the 25th year of the demolition of the structure.
They said that over two decades have passed and so far nobody has spoken about the reconstruction of the masjid that was pulled down.
The protesters said that when the Masjid was demolished by the saffron activists, the then prime minister Narasimha Rao promised to rebuild the structure, but his words could never become true. They said that peace and harmony of the region, as well as the entire nation, are being put at stake by raking up the Ram Janmabhoomi issue.
They said that, even as the issue is still unsettled, the RSS is making statements on the construction of the temple by force, causing fear among people.
SDPI leaders Salim Khan, Shahraz Siddique, Allah Bhakshi, Khaleemullah among others were present.
