Shivamogga: A 27-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death in broad daylight by a gang of miscreants in Sulebail, Shivamogga, here on Sunday, June 24.
The deceased has been identified as Abid.
It is gathered that miscreants murdered Abid in an isolated area in Sulebail in the limits of Tunganagar police station.
Reportedly, it is gathered that rival team lead by Kadekal Abid has hatched the conspiracy to murder Sulebail Abid. Both the groups of Sulebail Abid and Kadekal Abid had a rivalry from past three years over a cricket match.
On Sunday, June 24, when Sulebail Abid went out with his children to Vidyanagar, he sensed a threat to his life. Realizing this, And immediately returned to his residence and alerted his neighbors and family members about the threat. Kadekal Abid and his team followed Abid till his residence but as a mob gathered around Abid’s residence, they fled from the spot.
At around 3 pm, Abid went out of his residence and when he reached an isolated place, Kadekal Abid and team who were hiding there attacked Abid with lethal weapons. Abid was critically injured due to the incident. Locals rushed him to nearby Metro hospital where he was declared brought dead. Later his mortal remains were shifted to Mcegan Hospital. The family members also protested demanding the arrested of the culprits.
