Soraba: The principal of Anavatti Government Junior College was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe amount of Rs 700.
The accused principal G Manohar was trapped by Inspector Tippeswamy and his team led by the ACB DySP Chandrappa.
Manohar was arrested immediately.
Anita, daughter of Shivappa Maduru from Hangal town, Haveri district had requested for her marks list, for which Manohar had demanded Rs 800 illegally.
Later, when Anita was about to give Manohar Rs. 700, the ACB police, who had received the information had raided his office. He was arrested immediately.
The bribe amount was seized and the Principal was taken into custody. The ACB police have begun the investigation.
