Party will decide my role, says KS Eshwarappa

Shivamogga: Making it clear that he is not keeping forth any demand before the party, senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa has said that he is ready to take up any role that the party thinks would be fit for him. 

Answering a query from the media on whether he would prefer to be in the cabinet or he would prefer to take up a role to build and strengthen the party, Eshwarappa said that he will abide by what his party decides for him. 

Meanwhile, taking a jibe at the former assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar, he said that the latter insulted the constitution by disqualifying the MLAs who expressed their contempt against their own parties. 

“The Supreme Court had clearly told the speaker to either accept the resignation or reject it, but instead of doing that, the speaker wasted valuable time of the assembly and later disqualified the MLAs,” he said. 

Answering a query on Tipu Jayanthi, he said that the cancellation of the celebration not ‘politics or hate’, but the move was driven by law and order issue.
