Shivamogga: In the wake of Sri Lankan serial bomb blasts, many cities in Karnataka are under high alert. The police department was conducting meetings to take proper precautionary measures.
Mysuru SP Amit Singh had conducted a meeting with religious leaders, hotel owners and resort owners and instructed them to use good quality CCTV camera and metal detectors in their premises.
In Shivamogga, district security officer Dr M Ashwin instructed the businessmen and religious leaders gathered in the meeting to install CCTV cameras in any of their premises where more than 100 people were gathering.
Similarly, Coastal belt too has been put on alert with Coastal Security Forces stepping up security measures.
In Easter day bomb blast in Sri Lanka, around 253 people died and more than 500 were injured.
