Modi is fond of Pakistan: Dinesh Gundu Rao

Shivamogga: “It is understood how much Modi is fond of Pakistan by the way he talks about that country in his Lok Sabha election campaigns,” ridiculed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundu Rao.

Speaking at a press conference, Gundu Rao said, “The way Modi speaks about Pakistan, it seems like the elections are in Pakistan, not India. Wherever he goes for campaigning, he speaks about Pakistan and on the other hand Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan says that Kashmir issue will be solved if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) resumes power. Modi had also attended the wedding of Pak’s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son. All these facts prove that Modi has a close bonding with Pakistan. To cover this, Modi blames the opposition of supporting Pakistan.”

“The BJP has completely forgotten the promises which it made during the previous election. Bringing back black money, reservation for women, scrapping of Article-370 and various other developmental schemes have been mentioned in BJPs manifesto but the party does not discuss about it,” he added.

“The BJP is talking about constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya from the past 30 years, and has also built and extended the party on the basis of Ram Mandir. But even after getting majority votes and forming the government, the BJP leaders have done nothing about the construction of the Ram Mandir. The BJP, during the previous election, had promised that it would scrap Article-370 if it wins the election by majority but even after coming to power it did nothing about it. Instead it formed alliance with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which opposes the removal of Article-370. This proves that the promises and assurances of the BJP are only to gain votes, and they are least bothered about implementing what they assure,” said Gundu Rao.

Janata Dal (S) District President Manjunath Gowda, Member of Legislative Council R Prasanna Kumar, former legislator Gopalakrishna Belooru, K B Prasanna Kumar and many others were present.
