Shivamogga: The Malgudi Museum at Arasalu Railway Station will be open to public from Friday July 9, consequent to easing of lockdown restrictions in the State.

Some of the episodes of the popular tele serial “Malgudi Days’ based on the short stories of the legendary writer R.K. Narayan were shot at Arasalu Railway Station environs. The museum is in a sense a tribute paid by the Railways to the author R.K. Laxman as also to cine and theatre artiste Shankar Nag who produced the tele serial.

Rahul Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru Division has urged the museum visitors to adopt a Covid Appropriate Behaviour during their time in the museum premises. He has sought the cooperation of public in maintaining a safe environment inside the museum. Sanitising hands, and wearing of face masks together with social distancing are mandatory for the visitors.

The Malgudi Museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm., while Tuesday is a closed holiday.
