Shivamogga: Mocking at former chief minister Siddaramaiah BJP state president and parliamentarian Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the former has long been forgotten by the people of the state.
Addressing the gathering, on Tuesday, December 17, at a BJP party workers' meet, he said, “Once legislator Ayanur Manjunath and I went to some photography shops to ask for Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s photo. None of them could find one, but one shopkeeper found Siddarmaiah’s photo and gave it to us. We were shocked because we had asked for BSY’s photo. When we asked the shopkeeper why there weren't any photos of BSY, he said that BSY's photos were fast-moving and got empty soon, but Siddaramaiah’s photos were in plenty lying in one corner of the shop from for the past 10 years and it was covered with dust.”
Giving a call to the party workers to strengthen the hands of BSY and the BJP on the whole, Nalin said, “Currently, the party is in full swing as the massive victory in the recent by-polls has proved that the party is growing stronger as the days pass by. We are confident that around 80 percent of the states’ electorates are with us. BSY, state rural development and panchayat raj minister K S Eshwarappa and party workers have helped in the Congress party biting the dust. We have already established 10 mandals. By this, we want to see the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) getting extinct from the district.”
Meanwhile, he opined that the “Modi wave” could be witnessed all over the country and the state as people have whole-heartedly supported his administration and decisions.
