Shivamogga: In a bizarre incident, a police head constable and three ‘humane’ contract killers went behind the bars after the trio refused to kill the head constable’s wife.
Ravindra Giri, working in Shivamogga police department had reportedly called upon three contract killers to kill his wife Anita, whom he wedded nine years ago. He had reportedly paid Rs five lakhs for getting Anita weeded out of his way as he was in love with another woman.
However, the twist in the story came when the killer trio reached Giri’s residence at least three times and changed their minds thrice as they found Anita in blissful company of her two kids each time.
Trouble began for Giri, when one of the three men decided to back out. While that was not it, he even met Superintendent of Police Abhinav Khare and narrated the whole story fearing that his two other companions may still go ahead and execute the crime.
Following this, Giri, and three contract killers- Firoz, Sayed Irfan and Sohail were arrested by the New Town police.
