Shivamogga: Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JDS Supremo and former PM, H D Devegowda has said that the former is not being taken seriously by the people of the country.
“I do not nurture any personal problems with him. I question only his ideology and administration. He lacks the will for development, specifically, there is nothing that he has done for Karnataka. Victory merely by playing a religion card is unacceptable. We are the nation that gives utmost importance to our constitution,” he said adding that the bypolls results will teach the BJP a lesson for life.
“The coalition is here to stay and hence it is an acid test for the BJP, ” he said adding that the JDS and the Congress are not worried because the coalition is going to write yet another episode of history in Karnataka’s political page.
He hoped that Karnataka should become the first state to have a formidable third front to trounce the BJP.
“There are some minor issues in Mandya, which will be set right soon. As far as Shivamogga is concerned our joint candidate is Madhu Bangarappa. Leaders from JDS and Congress have recommended him,” he said adding that the coalition will be permanent.
