Forest officials trap three-year-old leopard in Shikaripura

Shivamogga: A leopard was found in a trap laid by forest department at Madagaharanahalli, Shikaripura taluk here on Wednesday March 10. The tarp was laid following villagers’ complaint on a leopard seen roaming in the vicinity.

The forest officials had laid a trap two days ago and finally today they succeeded in catching the animal. The leopard is about three years of age and is found to be healthy.

The forest officials have informed that the animal has been moved from the village and will be left to the wild soon.
