Shivamogga: A murder accused and two policemen suffered injuries after they came face-to-face at Tyajyavalli in Shivamogga on Monday. As per sources, the police had received crucial information about an accused in the murder case of rowdy-sheeter Balu that took place on Sunday evening.
On receiving the tip-off, a team of police headed by sub-inspectors of Thunga Nagar and Kumsi police station Annaiah and Jagadish rushed to Tyajyavalli on Monday evening, but the miscreants resorted to attacking the police in a desperate bid to flee the place. Due to this, the cops were forced to open fire. As a result prime accused Sunil suffered injury on the leg. However, three others succeeded to escape from the spot
Meanwhile, two police also suffered injuries. They were shifted to a private hospital.
