Shivamogga: Shivamogga District Deputy Commissioner K B Shivakumar has asked the officials to ensure that no student faces any difficulties while writing their SSLC examinations which start from June 25.
He was addressing the officials of the Education Department and Heads of examination centres during a meeting organised at the auditorium of AC's office, on Saturday, June 6.
"Bus and hostel facilities have also been provided for the students who will be writing the SSLC examination. The bus is only meant for SSLC students. If a student misses the bus, alternative arrangements should be made by the Block Education Officer (BEO). A total of five vehicles should be kept ready to ferry the students who miss the bus," he said.
Meanwhile, he informed that if any student wants to stay in a hostel, proper arrangements will be made for that as well. The students' parents can also stay in hostels, he informed.
Directing the officials to follow the Covid-19 guidelines in the examination centre, the DC said, "The health department staff should be there at every examination centre. They should do thermal scanning of all the students. If a particular student has a high temperature, they should be asked to write the examination in a separate room."
"Students should first have breakfast and then come to the examination centre. They must also carry their own drinking water bottles. If any student comes to the examination centre without a water bottle, a sealed bottle will be provided to them. Arrangements should also be made to provide biscuits and chocolates to the needy," he said.
