Shivamogga: The third JMFC Court in the city has acquitted Kannada film actor Shivarajkumar, wife Geetha and JDS District President Srikanth in connection with the violation of election commission’s code of conduct during previous Lok Sabha elections.
After prolonged investigation, Judge Shwetha dropped the charges against Shivarajkumar and two others citing lack of evidence.
Election Commission officials had lodged a complaint against the trio in the city’s Vinobha Nagar police station,alleging violation of code of conduct during election campaign prior to last Lok Sabha elections.
Shivarajkumar and his wife Geetha had taken part in several court proceedings earlier in connection with the case against them.
