Shivamogga: “A severe protest is for sure if the lotus-shaped blue print is not repelled,” warned Shivamogga District Congress President H. S. Sundaresh.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday July 13, Sundaresh said, “Government has utilised the public money in making the lotus-shaped blue print for the upcoming airport.” It can be recollected here that Mayawati government had to face humiliation after using the symbol of BSP party. But BJP through media have decided to potray Airport as a sign of development, he added.
He said, “the requests have been made to the concerned officers to do away with the lotus symbol.” If this plan is not repelled we will come up with the strategies for protest against this, Sundaresh stressed.
Further, Sundaresh asserted that they too were on the side of development. BJP should wake up to this warning call and get the blue print changed before Congress proceeds to the court. Later, BJP cannot tag Congress as against the development, he said.
BJP is only bothered about election and the District In-charge Minister K. S. Eshwarappa is not bothered about several lives that were lost due to Covid, he noted.
He said that the District Congress has always pointed fingers at the corruption by BJP. But BJP utters no single word against any of these issues. Their ignorance is the biggest tragedy we are experiencing, he lamented.
