Shivamogga: A Constable attached to Kumsi police station was attacked by two individuals on Tuesday late night at Shivamogga private bus stand, reportedly for refusing to give the duo money.
The injured constable Manjunath is said to be critically injured.
It is said two persons identified as Najeeb and Nazeer had come to Manjunath when he was at the bus stand and started demanding for money. When the constable refused to pay them money, the two took out a long blade and went assaulting him. Manjunath has suffered severe injuries on the neck and hands and has been admitted to Meggan hospital.
It is said that the two accused have been arrested.
Doddapete police have registered as a case.
