Congress MLA K B Prasanna Kumar files nomination papers on Apr 23

Shivamogga: Incumbent MLA K B Prasanna Kumar, on April 23, filed his nomination papers for the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018.

At 11 AM, a huge crowd of Congress workers had gathered at Ashoka Circle near the bus stand. From here, Prasanna Kumar along with his supporters, proceeded towards Shivamogga City Corporation Office and filed his nomination papers.

Talking to media after filing nominations, he said, “My agenda for election is development of all for now and future.”

He also claimed that the Congress party was secular and did not support communal politics. He also said that more and more people were supporting the party and its principles.

Foretelling the outcome he said, “I am going to win by a margin of more than 25000 votes. I am confident because of the love and support of the people I have received so far. It is only because of their love that I am contesting this election.”

The elections for the Karnataka Assembly are scheduled for May 12 and the fate of the 224 seats will be known after counting of votes on May 15.
