Shivamogga: Comparing the Congress-JD(S) coalition government to an “abnormal child”, BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa said that it would not survive for long and if it managed to survive for more than six months, then it could be considered a miracle.
Eshwarappa was addressing a gathering of BJP party workers and fans at the Shubha Mangala Samudaya Bhavana in Shivamogga on Saturday, June 2. The programme was arranged to thank the people of the constituency, party cardes and the Sangh pariwar.
“All predictions and surveys were proved wrong,” he said and added that the BJP won six out of seven seats on Shivamogga. He credited the win to the efforts of the party workers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The opposition parties came together because they were threatened by the Modi-wave but, it is of no use. Modi is an international leader and he will win again in the 2019 elections and become the Prime Minister once again,” he said.
He also said that BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa would become the Chief Minister of Karnataka soon and asked the gathering to be prepared for another election which, he said, would happen “at any time as the present government is uncertain”.
“We are with the people, but HD Kumarswamy and Deve Gowda are opportunists, just like the other opposition parties. We will teach them a lesson soon, as we are going to make our leader BS Yeddyurappa the CM of Karnataka soon,” he added.
Shivamogga Rural MLA Ashok Nayak also spoke on the occasion. MLA Kumar Bangarappa, former MLA Bhanuprakash, BY Raghavendra, DS Arun, SN Channabasappa, Suresh Swamy Rao, TH Nagraj, Saumu Bhojya Nayak, Rekha Praveen, KG Kumar Swamy, M Shankar and S Dattatri were present.
