Shivamogga: BY Raghavendra, the BJP’s candidate for the Shivamogga Lok Sabha by-polls, and son of BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa filed his nomination today, October 15, at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here at 11.15 AM.
He was accompanied by Shivamogga MLA KS Eshwarappa, Sagar MLA Hartalu Halappa and BJP leader MB Bhanuprakash.
Speaking to the media personnel after filing his nomination, BY Ragvendra said, “I filed a nomination form for the Lok Sabha by-elections. A team, headed by KS Eshwarappa, accompanied me. The BJP won the Lok Sabha elections in the Shivamogga constituency the last three times and I trust that the people of my constituency will definitely support me.”
MLA Eswarappa said, “We won the previous election with the help of Hindutva outfits and Narendra Modi’s guidelines. I am very sure that we will win the by-election this time as well, using these aspects only.”
Former MP Jayaprakash Hegde and Kudachi MLA P Rajeev were also present.
