Shivamogga: “The Bharatiya Janata Party has no agenda for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and yet again they have remembered Lord Ram and made it their agenda”, criticized Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Addressing the press meet, here on Wednesday, October 31, he challenged the BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, “When he was the CM, he had allotted funds from several poor. Let him disclose the amount after he got down from the chair of the CM.”

“Let Yeddyurappa sit in the Shikaripura’s Hucharayaswamy temple and recollect what he did to safeguard his illegal assets”, taunted Kumaraswamy.

“The situation is such that the law is only for others and not for Yeddyurappa. The electoral victory has developed arrogance in him and he will get a befitting answer from the people”, he said.

Questioning the Kasturirangan Report, CM HDK questioned Yeddyurappa, “Due to the implementation of Kasturirangan Report, the villagers residing along the Western Ghats are in great danger. Being an MP, what is Yeddyurappa’s contribution?”

“Challenging the report, the Centre itself had filed an affidavit. How many times has he met the prime minister and the environment minister regarding the same?”, he asked.

He slammed BSY criticising his contribution towards roads and the condition of factories.

CM Kumaraswamy said that the land for bus stand was allotted by him and asked BSY as to what were his attempts in helping the closed factories reopen.

On the question of BSY filing a complaint against him based on the violation of code of conduct, he reacted, “It’s been five months since the government is formed and I am speaking about the budget allocated for several projects. The BJP has a habit of making false allegations and in that case, I’ve not violated any code of conduct.”

He said that when Yeddyurappa was the CM of the state, he had faced 20 by polls. He also recalled that Yeddyurappa had said that he would adopt some of the constituencies and questioned it that wasn’t that a violation of the code of conduct.

CM Kumaraswamy said, “Until September around 52 percent growth is observed in the income of the government and is expected to reach the mark of 103 to 104 percent by the end of March.”

He said that the false allegations against the current coalition government must be cleared and that people must know the truth.

HDK also said that Yeddyurappa must recollect who had visited Deve Gowda’s residence in the year 2005 contrary to his claim that he had not visited.

He said, “Reddy brothers (Janaradhan Reddy, Somshekhar Reddy, Karunakar Reddy) had accused me of taking a bribe amount of Rs 150 Crore.”

“People know everything and let the BJP leaders measure their words before talking, as he (Yeddyurappa) is a senior in politics,” he added.

G T Devegowda, Lok Sabha by poll candidate from Janata Dal (S), Madhu Bangarappa, JD(S) District President R M Manjunath and others were present.
