Shivmogga: District BJP cell had called a meeting on Monday, October 8 to select the candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-polls from Shivmogga constituency.
The BJP selected B Y Raghavendra, Ex MP and son of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa as the candidate for the LS by-polls. KS Eswarappa proposed B Y Raghavendra’s name and MLC Bhanuprakash seconded him.
A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka, D H Shankaramurty speaking on the occasion said, “Now it is our responsibility to support B Y Raghavendra so that he wins this by-poll election. Not only for the by-polls elections we all should work together and win the coming Lok Sabha election as well.”
BY Raghavendra will be filing nomination on October 15, said sources.
